How can I enroll?
To enroll in Certification Program in Emergency Medicine, please send us an application form and supporting documents to the office of Global Health Directorate, 5th Floor, Woodcraft Building, Plot 3 & 3A, Sector 47, Korangi Creek Road, Karachi, Pakistan 75190, and by email to cpem@ghd.ihn.org.pk. Are there any prerequisites? If so, what are they?
For the Didactics Certification Program in Emergency Medicine (CPEM-D) the prerequisites are:
- Only medical officers and residents of external emergency departments, i.e. no current Indus Hospital employees.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a medical officer.
For the Clinical Certification Program in Emergency Medicine (CPEM-C) the prerequisites are:
- Only medical officers and residents of the emergency department at TIH or at sponsoring partner institutions.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a medical officer.

Who will need to sign a bond and for how long?
Candidates seeking institutional support to pursue the program may need to sign a bond committing the them to stay with the sponsoring institution for a minimum time period after completion of the course. The time period is to be determined by the sponsoring institution and the candidate.
When will I receive my certificate?
Trainees will need to attend at least 70% of all sessions, as well as obtain a score of at least 70% on both the mid-term and the final examinations to successfully complete the certification. Upon successful completion, they will receive their certificate once the program has ended, i.e after June 26th 2020.
