The Indus Hospital (TIH), Karachi
TIH is a 300-bed, state-of-the-art tertiary hospital that provides care completely free of cost. Since its inception in 2007, The Indus Hospital has provided high-end, multi-specialty health care – that is beyond the reach of most Pakistanis – to everyone that comes to the Hospital, irrespective of their social, religious or economic background. Over the past decade, TIH has received more than 1,000,000 patient visits from across the country.
Emergency Services at TIH
The Emergency Department at TIH was launched in 2008 and sees approximately 600 patients daily. Currently, the hospital has a 35-bed ED, including 4 resuscitation beds and 9 beds dedicated to pediatrics. It is equipped to deal with all medical and surgical emergencies, and has advanced life support measures for both cardiac emergencies and trauma, a Rabies prevention clinic and a Malaria clinic.
